My Music Industry

I am working on being in the music industry, which can be very hard depending on what you are doing. The way I am making my way through is by listening to music by different artists and seeing what they are doing to change music. I am also looking up artists to see what they want music to do for others. But what I did not know is that you need to become more familiar with other genres even if you dislike them. Like for example Im not huge fan of Heavy Metal but they are still doing something with meaning right? Yes! is the answer. I have never have thought of it this way until I was asked about other genres that I don't listen to. I felt like I had no idea about music. So what i am saying is that music is more than just your favorite, its about the message that these people receive from the music. You need to take that message and give it to others and spread it. Well thats how music becomes famous is by others passing on the message. Then you start to notice that others enjoy the music and this one person that made that message is famous and you are dancing and bobbing your head in enjoyment to there message in the music. So my goal in the industry is to become a famous messenger and send this message to MILLIONS of other people and make people famous. This is what i want to do for you and your message if you have one!

How should I do This?

I was talking to some friends about this business I wanted to start around a college, and I was saying how I wanted to make this store different than any other one. Well one of them mentioned that I should make a inside concert room and a bar so I could have bands come and perform at my business. This would make people notice my store and make me more known in the community. I would be able to enjoy live music while working and create a calm relaxed environment for others. I know this is a lot of work but thats what its all about. I think it would be great because would be able to buy these artists music and other accessories. I also believe that this would also make these bands become more known. People would have opportunities to hear different music from all over the world and locally. This would something that is totally different from what most people see. I just want to know if I am trying to do to much for the company or if this is a great idea. I need some ideas and really like it if you would comment on this idea.

PLN

I am Zach and I am 17 years old attending Van Meter high-school as a Junior . My interest is opening my own business online world wide and to make smaller bands become more known to the world while I am in high school. My future plan is to go to college and start to learn and manage my own business near a college. The reasoning why i want to open it near a college is to lower illegal downloads by having low cost on CDs and purchasing used items and sell them for cheap. Also it will be close to a school that I will be attending so I don't have to go far.

So I am in a PLN class that will stronger my social networks and these networks I will get connections that will help me in the future with other businesses (PLN stands for Personal Learning Network). What I want to get out of this class is a stronger connection with hundreds of other business. Then these other businesses that I connect with I want to be able to bounce ideas off of and someone I can turn to if I am struggling. Not only that but they can give advice on what and what not to do. So my main goal in this class is to get my own business off the ground...
